This complicated little project took a modest 350 square foot studio and inserted two additional floors and roof terraces. Negotiating between the Landmark Commission, the Department of Buildings, building management and neighbors proved to be a continuous exercise in diplomacy. The light industrial vibe is commensurate with the filmmaker - clients an aesthetic taster. This project began as a Bachelor Pad by its completion became a home for his wife and new born child. Such an event speaks to the nature, time, and stamina of all involved in this rewarding endeavor.
